Has the standard of driving in Ireland gotten worse?

A Dublin TD said that road users will be familiar with the “shockingly common” running of red lights.

A SCHEME THAT would allow for the implementation of traffic cameras to detect motorists speeding, unlawfully driving in bus lanes, and breaking red lights is on track to be approved shortly.

Fine Gael TD Naoise Ó Muirí welcomed the strategy but said it has been too long in the pipeline, saying, “The delays we have seen in the rollout of these cameras is disappointing and road safety is suffering as a result.”

The Dublin Bay North TD added that road users will be familiar with the “shockingly common” running of red lights.

So today we’re asking you: Do you think Irish drivers’ behaviour has gotten worse?
