Man (30s) killed in early hours road crash after car hits tree

The man, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his 30s has been killed in a single car crash after his vehicle left the road and hit a tree near Slane in Co Meath.

The crash happened in the early hours of the morning at Kellystown.

The man was the only occupant of the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The scene of the collision is closed pending the completion of a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators,” a garda statement said.

Diversions have been put in place locally.
