Man (20s) injured in weekend electric scrambler crash in Co Clare dies

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

A MAN WHO was seriously injured when he crashed while driving an electric scrambler bike in Co Clare on Saturday has died.

The single-vehicle crash occurred on Bóthar Na Luachrain in Shannon shortly after 11:30pm.

The man, aged in his early 20s, was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment. He was pronounced dead yesterday.

Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the crash to come forward, or anyone who may have footage of the incident.

Legislation to ban the use of scramblers in public spaces is currently under review, with the law to be named Grace’s Law after 16-year-old Grace Lynch, who died after she was hit by a scrambler bike in Finglas on 25 January.
