Each week, we take an Insta-worthy room in Ireland and show you how you can get the look yourself with high street buys.
This week, Laura Magee’s (@deco.dwelling) stylish corner in her guest bedroom was our inspiration.
“If I’m being honest, I haven’t actually got round to painting this room yet,” says Laura. “But it’s such a lovely bright and airy space, it looks good even as it is for the time being.”
“This room is currently being used as a guest bedroom/extra wardrobe space for my clothes, but I still wanted it to feel like a part of the house, design-wise. So I hung some art on the wall, along with some of my fashion accessories and layered a few rugs on the floor,” she says.
Desenio, La Redoute and Wayfair were Laura’s main port of call when fitting out this room. Below are six high-street products that’ll help you get this look in your own home…
1. Gold accent mirror, €39, Oliver Bonas
The tassels on this mirror tie in perfectly with Laura’s boho-chic vibe.
2. Clothes rail, €8, Ikea
Make space in your wardrobe and display some of your favourite clothes on a rail, as Laura has done.
3. Line art print, €9.95, Desenio
Adding a print or two to a wall is an easy and affordable way to update a space.
4. Seagrass basket, €12, Ikea
Cover up an unsightly plant pot with a woven basket for a more relaxed feel.
5. Velvet cushion, €19.99, H&M
Pops of pink and maroon, like Laura’s ottoman, add a touch of femininity to any space.
6. Rug, €28.40 (£25), Argos
A soft, shaggy rug instantly creates a cosy vibe.
