Poll: Will you watch the Olympics?

One of if not the biggest sporting events on earth is getting under way in less than two weeks time but will you be watching?

THERE ARE NOW less than two weeks to go before the Olympic Games get under way in London with Ireland set to send a sizeable contingent across the water in search of medal glory.

A team of over 60 competitors in 14 different sports will represent Ireland at the games with our colleagues TheScore.ie doing an excellent job of assessing their chances.

Overall there will thousands of athletes from 204 different countries participating in the worldwide event that billions are expected to watch on TV. But some will bemoan the commercialisation of the games, the disruption to Londoners, the overall cost – with some estimates putting it at £24 billion – and the problem of drugs in some sports.

So today we’re asking, will you be watching the Olympics when they get under way on 27 July?
