Galway's Seán Fitzgerald is happily coupled up with Lola Deal – but only time will tell Virgin Media Ireland

Have you been watching Love Island?

Are you tuning in to the series, or has it not turned your head?

WE’RE OFFICIALLY TWO weeks into the 13th season of Love Island.

While the series typically sees contestants from across the UK enter the Spanish villa in search of love (and often plenty of drama along the way), it’s also no stranger to having a few Irish contestants make appearances each year.

So far this season, Seán ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald has cemented his place in the villa and appears to have “closed off” his connection with fellow contestant Lola Deal.

Meanwhile, Victoria Onanusi from Kildare made a brief appearance on the show before being eliminated (or, in Love Island terms, “dumped”) last week.

It’s little surprise that the series has launched many contestants from Ireland and beyond into the spotlight, including TV personality Maura Higgins.

Speaking on The Journal’s The Explainer podcast, arts and culture journalist Kate Demolder said that “the craic is definitely an element to play for”.

With that in mind, today we’re asking: Have you been watching Love Island?

Poll Results:

No – not because of the World Cup, I just have no interest (5223)
Yes – I've been tuning in every evening (852)
Yes – I'm watching a few episodes here and there (474)
Not yet – I might tune in at a later stage (225)
I was, but I've given up on it (147)
No – it clashes with the World Cup (96)
