Did you watch the World Darts Championship Final last night?

The final drew a record peak 3.7 million viewers on Sky Sports.

LUKE LITTLER OVERCAME Gian van Veen and cemented his position as one of the greats of the sport after winning back-to-back World Darts Championship titles last night.

The 18-year-old joins Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis and Gary Anderson in winning successive crowns and he is the new king of Alexandra Palace.

The “Luke Littler effect” has been central to the recent rise in the popularity of darts around the world, as he has attracted new sponsors to the sport.
