Man (50s) hospitalised following alleged assault in Co Carlow

A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation.

A MAN HAS been hospitalised following an alleged assault in Co Carlow.

Gardaí responded to the scene of the incident, which happened on the Staplestown Road, Carlow.

The incident occurred at around 12pm noon today.

Gardaí said a male aged in his 50s was brought to St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

A man aged in his 40s was arrested in connection with the investigation.

The scene is currently being held for technical examination.
