REVENUE OFFICERS YESTERDAY seized LSD with an estimated value of €200,000 at Dublin Airport.
The drugs were found in the baggage of a passenger who had arrived in the airport from Amsterdam, who was searched as a result of risk profiling.
Officers seized approximately five grams, which Revenue said could have been potentially used to manufacture over 20,000 doses.
A man in his 20s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and has since been charged. He is due before the courts tomorrow.
Investigations are ongoing.
This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs. If businesses, or members of the public, have any information regarding smuggling, they can contact Revenue in confidence on 1800 295 295.
