A MAN APPEARED at a special sitting of Killarney District Court last night, where he was charged with the murder of a mother and unlawful killing of her daughter.
Jolanta Lubiene (27) and her daughter Enrika (8) were found dead at their home on 16 June.
Yesterday, gardaí said that a man was to appear before a special sitting of Killarney District Court charged in relation to their murders.
RTÉ reports that a Lithuanian man, Aurimus Andruska (26) with an address in Killorglin, was charged with Jolanta’s murder and the unlawful killing of Enrika.
He spoke in court via an interpreter.
A manhunt and murder investigation began after the bodies of the mother and daughter were discovered in their home at Langford Downs in Killorglin. A post-mortem found that they had suffered knife wounds.
