A MAN HAS been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Ballymun more than five years ago.
The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested today as part of a garda investigation into the shooting, which occurred at Belclare Terrace on 11 February 2021.
He has since been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice at 7pm this evening.
The victim, Patrick Lyons, a 44-year-old father of one, died after being shot a number of times during the incident.
Gardaí said investigations into the case are ongoing.
