Man (40s) dies after incident at construction site in Dublin

The Health and Safety Authority has said it is aware of the fatal incident.

A MAN HAS died following an incident at a construction site in Ringsend in Dublin.

The incident happened at the Glass Bottle site.

It is understood that the incident involved a fall from a height and the HSA has said it is investigating.

“The Health and Safety Authority is aware of the fatal incident and has launched an investigation. As such, no further information is available at this time.”

Construction company Sisk has said it is “aware of an incident on our Glass Bottle site in Dublin”.

“We are currently investigating the circumstances and will update once we have further information,” added a spokesperson. 

Gardaí and emergency services responded to a fatal workplace incident and a garda spokesperson said the man, aged in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been removed to the Dublin City mortuary for a post-mortem examination and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
