Man (20s) hospitalised with serious injuries following two-vehicle collision in Co Cork

The collision happened this morning at around 7.30am on the N73 near Mallow.

A MAN IN his 20s has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Co Cork this morning.

The collision happened on the N73 near Mallow.

One of the drivers, a man in his 20s, was taken to Cork University Hospital for the treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The other driver, a man in his 30s, was also taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

No other injuries have been reported.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling on the N73 between Mallow and Mitchelstown this morning between 7:15 and 8:15 am are asked to make this footage available.
