Rip to the poor little sweetheart. I think people want to comment to pay their respects to a family who has experienced a loss that nobody should have to face. Is social media an appropriate place? Maybe not but for those who do not know the family im sure its their only avenue for expressing condolences.

I agree Sonia it’s hard to know what is the right thing to do. I lost my brother in a car crash 4 weeks ago and I find it so difficult that strangers commented on our private family’s grief but I also get a little comfort from kind messages of support. I just hope that people remember for every fatal car crash report there is a real family who’s lives have been violently ripped apart and shattered. My deepest condolences to both families on their tragic losses. X

Sharon. It must feel like a terrible invasion when a stranger comments on your private family tragedy. Reading this story here just breaks peoples heart and they are just reaching out i suppose. I am always mindful that in a few weeks/months time when the family are comin to terms with their grief that they will be on the internet googling their loved ones name. Its 4 yrs since i lost my brother and i google his name regularly.

I hope you are doing ok Sharon.

Most times you read of a road death in Monaghan, it’s the N2 at Carrickmacross or ‘Blayney. Needs to be dual-carriageway. RIP once again to an N2 road victim.
