Man charged to court in connection with murder of man in Belfast

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and remains in custody at this time.

POLICE IN THE North have charged a man to court in connection to the murder of a man in Belfast earlier this week.

The PSNI had launched a murder investigation this evening.

Officers attended the Cromwell Road area of south Belfast on Wednesday following a report of a concern for safety.

PSNI Detective Inspector Jack Kelly said the man, who was 33, was taken to hospital by ambulance on Wednesday afternoon, but died later.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation and was this evening charged to court.

PSNI enquiries are continuing and the police has appealed to anyone with information, “no matter how insignificant it may seem,” to make contact.
