THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a property in Naas is just over €300,000, according to the latest analysis.

Data from Daft.ie for the last three months of 2017 puts the average list price of a home in the area at €302,008.

This puts Naas in the top 25 per cent of neighbourhoods around Ireland for property prices.

However, homes here are still significantly cheaper than buying in nearby Dublin. The average asking price across the capital is roughly €400,000.

Properties in Naas are more expensive than Newbridge (average €232,000) and slightly over the average for Celbridge (€297,421). However, it is a cheaper area to buy in on average than Maynooth (€332,800) or Dunshaughlin (€331,400).

Prices in the Naas area have risen by roughly 55 per cent since hitting their lowest level in 2012 – roughly in line with the national average.
