FOR ANYONE HOUSE hunting in the historic city of Kilkenny, a brand new offering joined the property landscape just last week.
Nyne Park by Cairn is a new development of three and four-bed family homes that are just a stroll from Kilkenny’s beautiful city centre.
On sale through joint selling agents Hooke & MacDonald and Warren McCreery, prices start from €345,000. These homes are energy-efficient, well-designed and conducive to modern living throughout. Interested? Then this weekend is your chance to take a tour with an open viewing of the show home taking place on Saturday 1 June from 11am to 12pm.
A number of the homes will be eligible for the Help To Buy Scheme and the First Home Scheme as well as a selection of three-bed terraced homes being available under the Affordable Purchase Scheme, the government initiative with an aim to make homeownership more accessible. And, seeing as they all have A2 energy rated, it means they qualify for green mortgages, too.
Each home is filled with natural light thanks to large windows and excellent flow from each space to the next. The kitchen is an open plan space that incorporates a place to eat as well as relax. Sliding doors then lead to the back gardens with plenty of space for the kids to play in. A separate sitting room, along with a guest toilet completes the ground floor.
All of the bedrooms sit upstairs and vary in size to suit the whole family. The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the other bedrooms share the generous family bathroom.
Located just off the Callan Road, the development is ideal for those who prefer to leave the car at home in favour of a walk or a cycle. The city is just a twenty minute walk away, while MacDonagh train station is reachable by bike. This is ideal for anyone who needs to commute to the capital a couple of times a week.
Families will have their pick of schools at all levels across Kilkenny city, and there’ll be plenty to help them stay active with the wealth of sports clubs close by. The city is also popular with culture fans with its selection of galleries, studios and venues, as well as festivals like Kilkenny Arts Festival and the Cat Laughs Festival to enjoy.
All in all, Nyne Park is a super option for anyone looking for a sense of community and a vibrant city while remaining commuter distance from a number of other towns and cities. These homes would certainly suit growing families but also anyone looking to downsize or for a home that’s cosy and easy to maintain from the get-go.
