A WOMAN HAS been arrested at Shannon Airport because of her ‘unruly’ behaviour on board a Delta flight from New York to Athens.

A garda spokesperson told TheJournal.ie that gardaí were alerted to the incident at 4am this morning when the aircraft was 250 miles off the coast of Ireland. The pilot radioed ahead and the plane was diverted to Shannon.

She was arrested at the airport and is detained at Shannon Garda Station. The woman will appear at Ennis District Court this afternoon.
