Pedestrian (70s) seriously injured after collision with car in Mayo

The pedestrian was taken to Mayo University Hospital following a collision on O’Rahilly Street/Bury Street, Ballina on Wednesday 1 April.

A WOMAN IN her seventies has been seriously injured following a collision involving a car in Co Mayo.

The pedestrian was taken to Mayo University Hospital following a collision on O’Rahilly Street/Bury Street, Ballina on Wednesday 1 April.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “Road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the area between 12:00pm and 13:00pm are asked to make this available to investigating Gardaí.”

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballina Garda Station on (096) 20567, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”

Investigations are ongoing.
