Police find DNA evidence as broadcaster Savannah Guthrie renews pleas to potential kidnappers

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie, 84, was taken against her will from her house in Arizona over two weeks ago.

POLICE HAVE OBTAINED DNA evidence from a glove in connection with the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of NBC’s Today Show host Savannah Guthrie.

Reuters has reported that the glove, which was found in a field near the side of the road, appears to match that worn by a masked person on Guthrie’s porch on the night she went missing. The person was seen in video footage the FBI released last week.

The FBI sent the glove for testing and received preliminary results on Saturday. They are awaiting official confirmation.

Meanwhile, Guthrie has pleaded again with her mother’s potential kidnappers to release her mother two weeks after her disappearance.

“Bring her home. It’s never too late to do the next right thing,” the broadcaster said in an Instagram post.

“It’s been two weeks since our mom was taken. I just wanted to come on and say that we still have hope and we still believe.

“I wanted to say to whoever has her or knows where she is that it’s never too late, and you’re not lost or alone. It’s never too late to do the right thing. We are here and we believe in the essential goodness of every human being.”

Authorities believe Nancy Guthrie was taken against her will from her house just outside Tucson, Arizona.

She was last seen there on 31 January and reported missing the next day after she did not attend church.
