Five summer activities for people living with pain and stiffness

Procydin is a supplement that can help you with your joints, your skin and your immune system.

FEELING LIMITED BY joint pain can be very frustrating, especially when the sun is shining and it seems like everybody else is out enjoying it.

Fortunately, there is still plenty you can do to enjoy the summer — whether that’s by tailoring your activities to suit your body, or by giving your joints and muscles a boost with health supplements like Procydin.

Procydin is a natural supplement containing grape seed extract, vitamin C and vitamin E, that helps to reduce inflammation throughout your body, allowing you to feel more like yourself again. The supplement also improves blood flow, strengthens your skin and tissue, and boosts the performance of your immune system.

Natural ingredients found in Procydin include phenolic acids, anthocyanins, flavonoids, and oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes (OPCs), all of which serve the purpose of healing and protecting your body against whatever damage it may have taken over the years.

Sometimes referred to as ‘Nature’s Vitamin P’, OPCs are gaining attention for their role in supporting vascular health, reducing oxidative stress and helping the body manage everyday inflammation.

In addition to helping your body heal with Procydin, there are also several low-intensity activities that you can enjoy this summer that might also help you with your joint pain.

Swimming

When it comes to exercise that doesn’t take a heavy toll on your joints through impact, swimming is the way to go. Unlike other forms of cardio, such as running, swimming allows the water to take some of the pressure off your body’s joints that are used to carrying the heaviest loads, such as your ankles, your knees and your hips.

It’s easy to take advantage of Ireland’s many beaches and pristine coastlines in the summertime, or to use your local swimming pool to improve your cardiovascular health and build muscles that will support your joints.

Always remember to take appropriate precautions when swimming.

Nature walks

Taking a nice long walk is often one of the most restorative things you can do for yourself, both physically and mentally. If you suffer from joint pain, it’s best to focus on walking routes that aren’t too long, that have soft ground (grass and earth rather than concrete) and that tend to be along a flat gradient, which will keep the pressure off your lower back. Choosing a scenic nature trail is a great way to enjoy the summer sun and Irish nature, all without putting too much strain on your body.

Taking Procydin once a day can help your body recuperate and heal more effectively by aiding blood flow and tissue health, making sure your muscles get what they need.

A leisurely bike ride

Much like swimming, cycling is another way to do some very important and necessary exercise without jeopardising the joints in your lower body. Once again, it’s ideal to find a flat area — such as Ireland’s many greenways — that cut through scenic routes, which incentivise staying on the bike.

Outdoor yoga

While we can all do yoga at home in front of our TV, there is no shortage of outdoor yoga classes on offer in Ireland every summer. Yoga can be very effective at helping you manage joint pain as it improves mobility, balance, strength and flexibility. If you’re a beginner and you’re worried about how your body might hold up, be sure to try Procydin to see if it can give you the boost you need to get out there and move your body this summer.

Gardening

While you might not feel up for a full-blown swim or a cycle, there are even more relaxed ways you can enjoy the sun. Gardening is a good way to spend time with family in the garden without having to over-exert yourself. By pruning shrubs, working on raised flowerbeds, or watering hanging baskets, you can immerse yourself in curating your garden, enjoy the outdoors, and avoid putting too much pressure on your body.
