GETTING INTO THE property market can be a daunting experience. Here we try and make it a bit easier – and bring you four of the best properties on the market around the country this week.
Temple Bar, Dublin – €200,000
This one-bedroom in the centre of Dublin comes works for someone who prioritises convenience. It is less than a five minute walk from the centre of Temple Bar and near to all of Dublin’s other main attractions.
The property itself is located in a block of ten apartments and has just over 500 sq. ft of floor space. It would suit a single person or a couple, having its own fully-fitted kitchen and good sized living room.
Spur Hill, Co Cork – €450,000
Spur Hill has the advantage of being a short distance outside of the city of Cork while also being well connected to it via the local bus network. It is also close to a number of other local amenities, including Cork University Hospital, Bon Secours Hospital and University College Cork.
The house itself comes with 0.75 acres of its own land and comes onto the market in turn-key condition. One of its bedrooms comes en suite and its downstairs has three reception rooms. Residents would also have their privacy protected, with an electronic front gate.
Salthill, Co Galway – €695,000
This building in the Salthill area of Galway is currently in use as a B & B with nine bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. Rooms at the B & B currently go for around €82 a night. The house overlooks Rusheen Bay and is near to Barna village. Galway city is also a short drive away.
All nine of the house’s bedrooms come en suite and have been kept in excellent condition by the current owners. There is also a conservatory to the rear that serves as a sun trap, as well as the mature gardens that surround the home.
Capel Street, Dublin – €750,000
This ten-bedroom end-of-terrace house is made up of a number of self-contained units. Each of these is said to have been maintained to a high standard and to offer good-quality living spaces. The basement of the building is currently being let as commercial usage.
The area surrounding this property in Dublin’s north inner city is highly desirable. It is located close to where Capel Street has a junction with Jervis Street and is also a short walk to Bolton Street.
