Here's the average price of a home in Inchicore in 2018

The latest figures from Daft.ie.

THE AVERAGE ASKING price of a home in Inchicore is now just under €300,000, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.

Analysis across all properties advertised in the area in the second quarter of 2018 puts the average list price at €297,731.

This is well below the capital’s average of roughly €420,000. Of 117 Dublin neighbourhoods in the Daft analysis, Inchicore is 90th by average asking price.

However, it is also one of the neighbourhoods where prices have risen the fastest. The average asking price in Inchicore has more than doubled since the recession – one of only 17 areas where this is the case.

At the moment, Inchicore has the lowest average asking price in Dublin 8 with the exception of the Christchurch area – where you would expect large numbers of smaller apartments to bring the average down.

At the peak of the Celtic Tiger, average prices in Inchicore reached almost €400,000. This figure then collapsed to just €140,000 during the recession.
