LAST UPDATE | 19 Dec 2025

RYAN TUBRIDY IS abandoning his weekday mid-morning show on Virgin Radio UK to take on new projects.

The former RTÉ broadcaster will launch a new standalone YouTube channel, in which he will look back on the the lives of the biggest stars in film, music, sport and television, with journalists and authors.

The show, called The Late Show, will also be broadcast on Times Radio.

Tubridy will also host a “new and improved” weekend show across the Onic radio network in Ireland, which includes Dublin’s Q102, Cork’s 96FM, Limerick’s Live 95 and LMFM.

This is alongside his podcast The Bookshelf.

In a statement, Tubridy said he was excited about the new opportunities, particularly his new YouTube series The Late Show.

“As we saw earlier this week with the Oscars Ceremony moving to YouTube, the media world is changing so fast and this is an opportunity to do what I do best with the best content creators in the world,” he said.

“It is with great gratitude that I finish my two years at Virgin Radio UK, where I had the time of my life with the greatest bunch of people.

“They made me feel welcome and valued which I will never forget, but I can’t wait to get started on these shows.”

Earlier this month, Tubridy married his partner psychotherapist Dr Clare Kambamettu in Galway.
