GARDAI HAVE SEIZED drugs with an estimated value of €300,000 and arrested one man in Dublin as part of Operation Thistle.
Gardaí attached to the Street Crime Unit at Kevin Street Garda Station carried out a search of a flat in the Whitefriar Gardens apartment complex in Dublin 8 shortly after 9pm last night.
During the search, heroin and mixing agent with a potential street value of €250,000 were discovered, along with cocaine and crack cocaine with an estimated street value of €50,000 (pending analysis).
A 56-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being detained at Kevin Street Garda Station under section two of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act. He can be held for up to seven days.
Investigations are ongoing.
