SHANE MACGOWAN HAS expressed his thanks for support he has received after his mother died in a car crash.
His partner, Victoria Mary Clarke, tweeted that people have been “overwhelmingly lovely and kind”.

His mother, Therese MacGowan (late 80s), died after her car struck a wall in Tipperary yesterday afternoon.
The incident happened at around 3pm at Ballintogher near Nenagh, the area where MacGowan is originally from.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
