Man due in court charged in connection with alleged building site arson in Dublin city centre

The man was arrested this morning by gardaí from Store Street garda station who were investigating the incident.

A MAN IS due before court in Dublin charged in connection with an arson attack on a building site in the city centre. 

The man was arrested this morning by gardaí from Store Street garda station who were investigating the incident.

Gardaí and the Dublin Fire Brigade were called to a large blaze at Mabbot Lane, in Dublin 1 on 2 August last at 5.20pm.

During the investigation they harvested CCTV from the scene and forensic evidence. 

It is understood a file was forward to the Director of Public Prosecutions and this morning’s arrest followed a direction to charge the accused. 

A garda spokesman confirmed the arrest this morning and said a man in his 30s is due in court.
