THE AVERAGE ASKING price for a home in Terenure is now just a shade over €600,000, according to the latest figures from Daft.ie.
Analysis across all properties advertised in the area in the second quarter of this year puts the average list price at €601,177.
That places Terenure very much in the top tier of Dublin neighbourhoods by price – one of only 16 areas of 117 surveyed where the average is higher than €600k.
It’s also the most expensive area in the Dublin 6W postcode – although the average price in neighbouring Rathgar, in Dublin 6, is even higher at €663,406.
Prices in Terenure are now just 16.6 per cent below their peak at the height of the Celtic Tiger boom, when the average hit just over €721,000. It then dropped to €341,000 during the recession.
