The Simpsons Movie is getting a sequel.

A LONG-AWAITED SEQUEL to The Simpsons Movie is officially in production.

Disney’s 20th Century Studios announced yesterday that Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie will make their return to the big screen on 23 July 2027. 

The announcement follows news that The Simpsons will air its 40th season in 2028 and 2029 – continuing its stint as the longest-running US animated series on television.
