If you missed Will Ferrell on screen playing sport, then boy do we have a series for you. The Hawk sees him as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, a professional golfer who makes a late-career second attempt to win golf’s Grand Slam. But will it be the comeback that he dreamed of? This being a comedy with Ferrell at the helm (alongside Molly Shannon, Fortune Feimster and Luke Wilson) means it probably won’t. Though you never know…

The Five Star Weekend

If you’re missing a series where well-off pals meet up and discover that their picture-perfect lives aren’t quite what everyone presumed, you should enjoy this. Hollis Shaw (Jennifer Garner) is a best-selling author and cook who suffers a devastating loss. It highlights the cracks in her marriage and relationship with her daughter, so in an effort to find peace she hosts a weekend away with pals. But things don’t go quite as smoothly a she hoped. Also stars Chloë Sevigny, Regina Hall, Gemma Chan, D’Arcy Carden and Timothy Olyphant.

Presented by Jacqui Hurley, Dáithí Ó’Sé and Louise Cantillon, this is broadcast live from Croke Park the day before the All-Ireland hurling final and includes a 300-strong live audience, games, chats with fans, and a look at the unsung heroes of the game.

Anya Taylor-Joy stars in this heist thriller, which is an adapation of the 2021 novel by Marissa Stapley. Taylor-Joy plays the titular Lucky, a con-artist who takes part in one last heist – only for it to go wrong. The series begins the morning after, as she takes stock of the disaster and realises she has to go on the run. Co-stars here include the always great Timothy Olyphant.
