Poll: How important are job prospects when picking a university course?

How big a factor is employability?

CHOOSING THE RIGHT college course can be a very important decision when it comes to your future, as the expertise and knowledge you develop in third-level education can shape your career.

Many believe that you should always have an eye on your career when picking a college course, so that whatever you study ends up giving you exactly what you need to pursue your dream.

Some colleges have a higher rate of graduate employability than others, and TU Dublin leads the way, ranked number one in Dublin for graduate employability. TU Dublin sees 78% of its graduates go on to full-time employment within only nine months of graduating. This figure only increases if you choose to pursue a postgraduate course at TU Dublin, with 82% of taught postgraduate graduates securing full-time roles within the same timeframe.

This is thanks to the university’s hands-on, integrative approach to learning, which gets you ready for the working world before you’ve even graduated. Courses at TU Dublin include internships, industry projects, simulations and live briefs — which all play an essential role in the transition from academia to the working world. TU Dublin is ranked number one in Dublin for graduate employability.
