THIS WEEK WE are celebrating cars with roll-down windows, tape decks, ashtrays and cigarette lighters. So let’s flex our arm muscles and play those mixtapes… but maybe avoid using the glowing-hot piece of metal whilst driving, m’kay?
Here are five classic cars with serious 1980s style and attitude.
Under €40k
1984 Porsche 911 Carrera, £33,500 (€37,379 approx)
The 911 Carrera is a dream car and Porsche’s most famous model. It is an icon of the motoring world with a seriously stylish shape. It has punchy performance and excellent engagement. 1983 Alfa Romeo GTV6, €10,500
The Alfa Romeo GTV6 is beautiful and athletic with plenty of motorsport trophies under its belt to back up its sporty credentials. This is a relatively low-production Alfa so it could be a good one to invest in now before the prices explode.

1986 Nissan 300ZX, €9,995
The Nissan 300ZX was quite the pocket rocket back in the 80s and its wedge shape still looks super cool today. It is nippy, well-balanced and fun to drive.
