Dry and sunny week (for the most part) kicks off today

The week is forecast to be mainly dry and sunny, with temperatures in the mid teens.

A DRY AND sunny week kicks off today – although of course it’s never that straightforward.

Today will be mainly dry, with “just the chance” of a light shower amidst sunny spells, Met Éireann said. Starting crisp, temperatures this afternoon will range from 12 to 16 or 17 degrees.

Breezes will be “light to moderate”.

A few scattered showers, mainly centred on the north of the country, will emerge overnight, but tomorrow will be mainly dry with sunny spells. Highest temperatures forecast are between 10 to 14 degrees.

For the rest of the week, there will be plenty of dry and bright weather. Winds will be “moderate to fresh” and temperatures will climb throughout the week.

Thursday and Friday are flagged as the better days of the week if you’re looking to enjoy the weather – in the west highest temperatures will be 15 or 16 degrees on Thursday, and Friday has temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees forecast.

It’s expected to remain mostly dry and settled for the weekend with plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the mid to high teens.
