Status Yellow thunderstorm warning issued for Galway and Kerry

Met Éireann has warned of heavy downpours with the slight chance of hail.

A STATUS YELLOW thunderstorm warning has been issued for Galway and Kerry this morning.

Met Éireann has said it will bring heavy downpours at times with the “slight chance” of hail.

The forecaster has also warned of localised spot flooding difficult travelling conditions.

The warning came into effect shortly before 9am this morning and is due to expire at noon today for both affected counties.
