#GOLAN HEIGHTS: Irish troops (above) staged a daring rescue operation to evacuate UN personnel from an area where heavy fighting was taking place.

#NEW BOSSES: EU leaders selected a Pole and an Italian to fill two of the Union’s top jobs at a summit in Brussels.

#MISSING BOY: Police hunting for a 5-year-old boy taken from hospital issued a Europe-wide arrest warrant for his parents.

Seamus Heaney left us exactly a year ago today.

Two friends, Cian Vaughan and Myles Shelly, sent us this video tribute today — and it’s lovely. Essentially a short companion piece to Heaney’s ‘Postscript’, it was filmed around north Co Clare, where the poem is set.
