Woman (30s) dies after being hit by car in Kilkenny

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of the collision, which occurred on Friday night.

A WOMAN IN her 30s has died after being hit by a car in Kilkenny.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the collision which happened shortly before 9pm on Friday night, 28 March.

The woman was hit by a car on the N76 at Westcourt Demesne in Callan.

She was brought to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny to be treated for serious injuries, but was pronounced deceased earlier today.

The driver of the car was not injured in the incident.

Investigating gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on 28 March, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
