Woman (50s) arrested in relation to discovery of man’s body at Dublin residence

Shortly after 1.10pm yesterday, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown.

A WOMAN IN her 50s has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a man’s body in a residence in Dublin.

Shortly after 1.10pm yesterday, gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a man found unresponsive at a residence in Cookstown, Dublin 24.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and gardaí said they were “investigating all of the circumstances”.

A post mortem examination of the deceased man has concluded, the results of which are not being released for operational reasons.

The woman who was arrested in connection with the investigation is currently detained at a Garda station in the Dublin area.

Gardaí are appealing for any available footage, including dashcam recordings, from those who were travelling in the vicinity of the junction of Second Avenue and Cookstown Way, Cookstown, Dublin 24 between 10pm on Thursday 26 March and 1:30pm on Friday afternoon, 27 March.
