A WOMAN HAS died after the motorcycle she was travelling on collided with a car on the N16 Sligo to Manorhamilton road.
The woman, aged in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after the accident, which occurred near Drumkinsellagh.
The driver of the motor cycle, a male in his 50s, was also taken to hospital. His condition is understood to be serious. The occupants of the car were uninjured.
Garda forensic collision investigators are at the scene. The road is closed to traffic and local diversions are in place. The local coroner has been notified.
