Woman in her 20s killed in Kerry road crash

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash.

GARDAÍ IN KERRY are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road crash in Killarney last night.

At around 7.15pm, a 26-year-old woman was hit by a car on the N22 at Glenflesk Village.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

The woman’s body has been removed to University Hospital Kerry for post-mortem examination. The coroner has also been notified.

The road was closed for a period by gardaí for forensic examination, but it has since reopened to traffic.
