SO FAR THIS year, there have been 55 cases of carjacking, hijacking or the unlawful seizure of aircraft (!) or vessels across the country.

The majority of incidences of vehicles being hijacked occurred in the Dublin region, according to figures released by the Central Statistics Office, and the fewest have occurred in the Western region of the country.

So where should you keep an eye out for your car? Here’s where:
