1. #ULSTER BANK: Some Ulster Bank branches will remain open for restricted hours over the weekend as the bank continues to deal with issues surrounding its recent technical difficulties.
2. #RELEASED: Double killer John Gallagher from Co Donegal has been released from the Central Mental Hospital after his case was reviewed, the Examiner reports. Gallagher signed himself back into the facility a month ago after more than a decade on the run. He has been banned from contacting the relatives of the two women he killed in 1988.
3. #FAKING IT? UN sanctions experts have suggested that North Korea used fake missiles in its major military parade this year, according to a new United Nations report. The experts also said though that they intend to “collect more information” on reports about luxury Mercs in North Korea, given that it is banned from importing such items under international sanctions.
4. #ADDRESS: Orange Order leader Drew Nelson is set to make an historic address to the Seanad this week – the first time an Orange Order member will formally address senators.
5. #TRADE TRIP: Minister Richard Bruton has begun a three-day trade mission to France, accompanied by representatives from 36 Irish companies.
6. #SYRIA: Key international talks on the violence in Syria are taking place in Geneva today. All eyes will be on Russian and Chinese engagement in the discussions, given their support to date for Syrian President Bashar Assad.

9. #POST IT: A drawing by Salvador Dali which was stolen from a gallery in New York last week has been intercepted at JFK airport – as it was being returned to the gallery by post. Gallery experts will now authenticate the ‘Cartel des Don Juan Tenorio’ artwork which is valued at around $150,000.
