Oat bars recalled... over possible insect contamination

The Annabel Karmel oaty chewy bars, which are aimed at children, are being taken off Tesco and Disney Store shelves.

BOXES OF OAT bars aimed at children have had to be recalled from shop shelves due to possible insect contamination.

The Food Safety Authority said today that the Annabel Karmel Chewy Bars are being recalled by Lightbody Ventures Ltd because they have may have been contaminated by insects.

The products are Annabel Karmel Apple & Blackcurrant Oaty Chewy Bars and Apple & Raspberry Oaty Chewy Bars (five bar pack and six bar pack for both products).

If you have bought the affected products, you’re asked not to eat them, but return them to your nearest store for a refund.

A batch of baby food, Holle Organic 3-Grain Porridge Baby Food, was recently withdrawn due to detection of ochratoxin A above the legal limit.
