Vandalism

This is the front door of a junior minister's constituency office this morning

Aodhán Ó Riordáin has tweeted a picture of a brown substance smeared across his constituency office door this morning.

JUNIOR MINISTER AODHÁN Ó Riordáin has tweeted this picture of his constituency office door this morning:

‘Traitors’ and ‘scum’ are scrawled across the red door with a brown substance smeared across the front door of the office in Marino.

Ó Riordáin is a Minister of State at the Department of Justice with special responsibility for Equality, New Communities and Culture.

In recent weeks he has been outspoken on the issues of Direct Provision and hate crime and has spoken openly about being bullied when he was at school.

His tweet his morning has already garnered dozens of retweets and favourites with colleagues quick to condemn the action:

Ó Riordáin’s fellow TD Ciara Conway said her office had also been subjected to such attacks:

Former Labour and now Fianna Fáil TD Colm Keaveney also condemned the incident:

Ó Riordáin did not immediately respond to a request for comment this morning.
