Gardaí renew appeal over body found in Kilkenny

The body of 43-year-old Anthony Barrett was discovered in a house last Thursday evening.

GARDAÍ IN KILKENNY investigating the discovery of 43-year-old Anthony Barrett’s body on 7 March have renewed their appeal for information.

The man’s body was found at a house at Fatima Place at around 7pm last Thursday. Barrett is originally from Castlecomer but was living on Parliament Street in Kilkenny.

It is understood that his death is being treated as suspicious.

Gardaí said they have received considerable assistance from the local community and are very keen to speak to any person in possession of information who has not yet come forward.

They are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Fatima Place area or who may be in a position to provide information in relation to this investigation to contact the incident room at Kilkenny Garda Station on 056-7775000, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any garda station.
