GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING to the public for information in relation to the murder of James Cahillane of Ardraw, Beufort, Co Kerry, last week.

Cahillane, the father of two adult children, was discovered 19 April at approximately 2 am by members of the fire service responding to a fire at his home.

He visited two pubs in the town that evening - Sheehan’s and Clifford’s – before taking a taxi home at approximately 10.50 pm.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who saw or spoke with Cahillane, or noticed anything suspicious or unusual in vicinity of his home between 5.30 pm on the 18 April and 2 am on the 19 April to contact them at Killorglin Garda Station 066 9790500 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
