Man sustains serious head injuries in Galway assault

The 41-year-old remains in critical condition today at Galway University Hospital.

GARDAÍ IN GALWAY are investigating an assault in a housing estate last night  in which a man was seriously injured.

The incident occurred in Cullairbaun Estate, Athenry at approximately 11.30pm last night.

A 41-year-old male received serious head injuries and is currently in a critical condition at Galway University Hospital.

The Gardai are appealing for any persons who were in this area between 11pm and midnight last night to contact the them at Galway Garda Station on 091 538000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station with any information they may have.
