Gardaí appeal for help tracing missing Kildare 16-year-old

Gardaí say Bernadette O’Connor has not been seen for eleven days and are appealing for assistance from the public in tracing her.

GARDAÍ HAVE ISSUED an appeal for assistance in finding a 16-year-old girl who has been missing for eleven days.

Bernadette O’Connor from Naas in Kildare has not been seen since 1pm on Monday 22 October. The teenager is described as being 5′ 6″ and has brown shoulder-length hair with blonde highlights. It is not known what she was wearing when she was last seen.

She may have a black and white Chihuahua dog with her which could help the public in identifying her.

Gardaí say Bernadette is known to frequent the Stillorgan and Stepaside areas of south Dublin.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact their local Garda station or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

This kid has goners sing several times before. I sincerely hope she’s found safe & well, but someone needs to start answering questions. There’s a case for detaining her somewhere for her own safety.

This isn’t specifically in response to you @emcg53, it’s just a general request for anyone who comments on this thread. When you’re commenting please bear in mind that a 16-year-old girl is missing and Gardaí are clearly concerned about her whereabouts.

There is obviously a reason she is going missing… The poor girl, god only knows what she is going through. hopefully she will be found safe and well and they get to the bottom of why she goes missing. People with sick comments, I’m sure if it was a friend or relative you wouldn’t be so quick to judge and say such sick things! Shame on you all!

The fact still remains she is missing at 16 years of she and all you on here making stupid and rediculous remarks have no respect for this girl or her family so why come on here and say anything at all I hope for your sakes nothing like this ever comes to your door bet you wouldn’t have the same views then . There is so many people going missing lately its very scary but then again it shows the reduction in Garda services from the goverment cut backs are starting to take effect
