Cork house fire claims life of second child

A four-year-old boy has died this afternoon following a house fire which also claimed the life of his little brother Cian on Sunday.

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy has died following a fatal house fire that claimed the life of his baby brother in Cork in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Gardaí confirmed to TheJournal.ie that the four-year-old was the older brother of Cian Ellard who died at the scene.

RTÉ has named the second victim as Calvin Ellard Punch. He died at Cork University Hospital this afternoon.

The boys’ mother Stacey remains in a critical condition at the Cork hospital. All three were in the house at the time of the blaze.
