Two men due in court after discovery of bomb-making equipment

The two men were arrested on 28 February following the search of a house in Newbridge, Co Kildare.

TWO MEN ARE due in court in Dublin this evening after arrests in connection with dissident republican activity.

Gardaí discovered bomb-making equipment in a house in Newbridge, Co Kildare in a search on 28 February. During the course of the search Gardaí located a number of items associated with the manufacture of pipe bombs.

The two men, aged 39 and 45, were arrested and detained at Naas and Newbridge Garda Stations.

They are due to appear at the Special Criminal Court, Parkgate Street, Dublin, at around 7.30pm.
