Updated, 15.26pm

A MAN HAS been arrested after crack cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis were seized in a major drug raid in north Dublin.

The 32-year-old was arrested in Finglas this afternoon and is being detained under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The haul was discovered last night when officers raided a house on Ratoath Avenue in Finglas. Gardaí said the substances had a potential street value of around €500,000.

A “substantial amount” of cash was also seized during the search, which came as part of an ongoing operation against drug dealing in the Finglas area.

No arrests were made during the raid. However, a garda statement said investigations are continuing.

The operation was conducted by a combination of garda units working out of Finglas garda station.
